About the event

Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Groups are in Boulder, Denver, and Fort Collins! Let's keep Colorado on the leading edge of psychedelic medicine work by coming together in community to learn, share, and grow. Each Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Group starts with an informative topic relevant to research, practice, policy, or activism around psychedelic medicines, followed by open discussion and an opportunity to connect with like-minded others.

For May, we are excited to hear from Debi Elliott, Catch the Wave: An EEG brainwave perspective on Psychedelics-assisted Psychotherapy.

Catch the wave where brainwaves and psychedelics meet. EEG and Neurofeedback have been used scientifically and therapeutically to measure, quantify and change the state of mind in mental health settings. Psychedelics-assisted psychotherapy is rarely combined with these data-driven modalities. Case studies, including brain mapping before and after, neurofeedback as an integration tool, and the use of low-dose ketamine combined with neurofeedback are shared. To graphically see how ketamine and other plant medicines change brainwaves and thought patterns can be mindblowing. These tools allow clients to quickly develop the skills to become their own master-healer.

Debi Elliott, LPC, BCB, BCN, is the clinical director at Interactive Brain Analysis - specializing in QEEG brain mapping, neurofeedback, and biofeedback. She has the same role at WellWise – Boulder Colorado’s Ketamine-assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) Retreat Center, where she guides private and group clients in ceremonial ways through psychedelics-assisted healing experiences. Debi amplifies, validates, and fine-tunes altered states of consciousness through bio- and neurofeedback. She has over 30 years of professional experience with psychophysiology, ceremonial healings, breath techniques, guided neuro-meditations, and brain research.

Suggested donation of $10, payable at the door. Door fee goes toward supporting the non-profit work of The Nowak Society. If you have ideas for topics or presentations for these meetup groups or would like to be more involved, please contact us!

Finally, if you have a brochure, flyer or business card you want to display, please bring them! We kindly request that anything advertised is legal and aboveboard, but otherwise we're happy to make space for you to share your offerings with the larger community.
