About the event
Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Groups are in Boulder and Denver! Let's keep Colorado on the leading edge of psychedelic medicine work by coming together in community to learn, share, and grow. Each Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Group starts with an informative topic relevant to research, practice, policy, or activism around psychedelic medicines, followed by open discussion and an opportunity to connect with like-minded others.
Our community is based on the values of open-source/open-access knowledge, authentic empowerment, right relationship with medicines and drugs, and showing up for the people and causes important to our lives.
The BOULDER group will meet on the last Sunday of each month, 5-6:30pm, including:
Feb 24th (ketamine assisted therapy)
March 31st (the future of MDMA)
April 28th (psychedelic guidework)
May 19th (plant medicines)
June 23rd (summer fun at Betasso Preserve)
July 21st (micro dosing)
August 25th (professionalizing and credentialing)
We have a very special guest for our August 25th group! Please join us to welcome Dr. Scott Shannon, speaking on the topic of professionalizing and credentialing the emerging sub-field of psychedelic medicine. Dr. Shannon is an investigator in Fort Collins for the Phase III MAPS MDMA studies and a pioneer in establishing integrative psychiatry as a specialty. He is the founder of the Wholeness Center in Fort Collins and is on the community advisory panel for The Nowak Society. He is presently involved in conversations with national leaders about how to professionalize and credential the emerging field of psychedelic medicine. Join us for an interesting discussion....very likely with more questions than answers!
$5 to attend, payable at the door. Door fee goes toward paying for the venue rental.
